Keynote Speaker: Breda McCague

Our keynote speaker is  Breda McCague,  a dynamic leader who transitioned from military excellence to impactful roles in global finance and emotional intelligence. Her story exemplifies a paradigm shift in leadership, blending resilience, innovation, and emotional acuity. 

At the age of 17, Breda became one of the first women to join the Irish Reserve Infantry Defence Forces. She subsequently served as her unit’s first female Lieutenant.  Breda has lead transformation programmes across global financial institutions since 2000 and is currently a Director of Emotional Excellence. Breda co-founded Lean In Ireland in 2016.  She is an accredited coach in emotional intelligent leadership.  Breda’s TEDx talk was promoted to the Global Professional TED.com channel.

She was awarded the Women of the Year title in the Women in Finance Ireland Awards for 2021 and has chaired and hosted panels at many Global Finance & Inclusion Events. She was a Finalist in the Irish STEM Mentor of the Year Awards in 2023.
