Jimmy Doyle is a treasury specialist who has many years experience in the corporate and banking treasury sectors. In September 2010 Jimmy retired from his position as Director, Treasury in Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Ltd.
He has worked in corporate and bank treasury for about 29 years and was previously treasury manager of Irish Life Assurance plc. He has been involved in the development of risk management, interest rate and foreign exchange hedging, cash management and funding strategies in his roles.
He is a Commerce graduate of University College Dublin and a member of ACT (UK).
Jimmy is a founder member and former President of the IACT. In 2008 the Association bestowed Honorary Life Membership status on him in recognition of his work in the development of the treasury profession in Ireland. This was only the third time the Association has bestowed such an honour in its 29 year history.
He was IACT’s representative to two international treasury bodies. He was a director of the European Association of Corporate Treasurers and served as treasurer to that group. He also represented IACT on the board of the worldwide International Group of Treasury Associations and was elected Chairman of that body for 2011. He also served on the Editorial Panel of TMI magazine.
