Keynote Speech by U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission Chairman Gary Gensler
The International Group of Treasury Associations (IGTA: www.IGTA.org) concluded its 2013 meeting in Washington following an address by The Honorable Gary Gensler, Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission to the group on Friday morning September 27.
The focus of the meeting was on how the implementation of financial regulations in the United States, Europe and around the world should be done to provide increased safety and transparency while at the same time balancing cost, liquidity, and availability of financial products for treasurers and their companies.
During its working sessions on September 28, IGTA welcomed into full membership the Russian Association of Corporate Treasurers http://en.corptreasury.ru/ and renewed the membership of the Malaysian Association of Corporate Treasurers.
